Jerry Evans, Ph.D. is a research psychologist, a graduate of Seattle University and the University of Portland. He has a long-standing scientific interest in social and psychological factors that influence law enforcement, the courts, probation services, judicial sentencing, and incarceration. His role in Judges for Justice is reviewing the international research literature on wrongful convictions and then informing others involved about key findings. He serves on the boards of directors of two organizations, one that provides medical and the other mental health services. There his commitment concentrates on behavioral health issues and psychiatric treatment benefits. Dr. Evans is a member of the American Evaluation Association, the Association for Psychological Science and other professional organizations.
